Cold wave conditions would occur over pockets of Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh during next 24 hours.

  1. ow that NEM may come to an end, can we have list of Indian states in order of less rainfall (i.e most dry states on top). Let us combine SWM + NEM. My guess is Rajisthan and Gujarat are no longer be dry states - should be AP /TN. Idea is to compare with last 2-3 years - indicate change in climate.

  3. Major south Indian states AP and Karnataka stare at impending drought. Monsoon axis failed to form in these areas, silent bay- no lows over south east bay above 10-15degree latitude. In fact much of interior karnataka is facing chronic water shortage (wonder what happens during summer - here it starts from February itself) same with AP.
