Kollur again tops South India Rainfall with 200 mm rainfall

Its total rainfall is around 280 cm in this monsoon

It has got above 10cm rainfall 11 days out of total 34 days and above 8-10 5 days.


Top 5 SWM till 04.07.2011

  1. Kollur, Karnataka - 2797 mm
  2. Cherrapunji, Meghyala - 2246 mm
  3. Gaganbawada, Maharashtra - 2164 mm
  4. Agumbe, Karnataka - 2014 mm
  5. Sangameshwar, Maharashtra - 1952 mm
  6. Kadra, Karnataka - 1945 mm

Will Kollur topple Agumbe or Cherrapunji this season for the year end....its possible

    I wish so but kollur can topple agumbe but i dont think it wil be with c'punjee as intensity of rain nullifies in this part of d country after august but nt in c'punjee hope u agree

  2. I agree with Pavan. Kollur is speeding ahead now, but after august, its speed will diminish. C'Punjee continues, and can cover up with as much as 60-70 cms in a day !

  3. July is the heaviest for Agumbe and Kollur too.. I think may be august Cherrapunji will beat Kollur.

    July considering the pattern in which Kollur has got rains it will rock in July too.

    Remember Kollur has received rains continuously. Not even a single day without rainfall.

    At the end of July too it will lead the table.

    But its sure going to beat Agumbe and Gaganbawada at the end of august too
