At 5.00 a.m. today, the tropical depression was centered over Trang, southern Thailand with sustained wind about 50 km/hr. It is now moving west at a speed of 15 km/hr to cover Krabi and Phuket and through the Andaman Sea this morning. Widespread and torrential rain is likely much of the south from Surath Thani southward with wave 3-5 meters high.

The depression entering into Andaman Sea will be moving straight west and then will take curvature in accordance to mid tropospheric winds. By the same time induced low

SWly winds from lower latitudes below 8 Deg North passing through Gulf of Mannar is to form a low level convergence in the middle of SW bay and adjoining SE bay. The SST in those area is CONDUCIVE and this may follow track to North TN /South CAP.
