Dear Preddep & Rajesh, Weather Modification is NOT tried world wide. I do not know WHY.If weather is properly controlled by mankind, humanity will prosper like any thing. I heard that Government of Karnataka is trying for an artificial rainfall at SIK & NIK to thwart the deficiency in rainfall in the catchment areas of Major rivers there.[like Kaveri] Secondly, SWM winds will be generally stronger near 15 degree latitude but during this 2010 SWM the winds are weak here. However the winds are STILL active over Maharastra and Gujarat. It has to be studied.
