Thunderstorms set to continue today also...Yesterday intensiveThunderstorms occured over SW tamilnadu ..Tirunelveli, Virudhunagar and Kanyakumari districts recieved more than 6cm rainfall.

Today Evening to night especially over South Southwest tamilnadu and westernghats region will see better rains Places likely Tirunelveli, kanyakumari, Didndugal, Madurai, Trichy, Kodaikanal, Coimbatore Tiruppur, Erode. Coimbatore city has chances to see rains today

Delta too inline for some isolated thunderstorms/Rain today Evening to Night.

Northwest tamilnadu places like Salem, Harur, Dharmapuri, Hosur, Krishnagiri,Jolarpet will see isolated Heavy spells.

Coastal: Puduchery, Cuddalore, Karaikal Nagapattinam and Ramanathapuram expected to see light rains. Chennai to see light rains today evening. Dont expect much possibly max we can see Drizzle to light rains especially over south Chennai.

Another thunderstorm day ahead especially over South, West, Southwest interior tamilnadu. North,Northwest tamilnadu will be bit quiet compared to yesterday places like jolarpert, Tirupathur, krishangiri, Hosur Dharmapuri, Salem has chances to see some rains today.

Madurai, Tirunelveli, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Theni districts ,Kodaikanal & Westerghtas region to see some good spells 1 or 2 heavy spells on cards around this area. Western TN like Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Nilgiris & Pollachi in and around have decent chances of Thunderstorms / Rains today evening to night. More the heat better the fuel to build storms.

Pondicherry, Cuddalore and Delta region had good spell around late night.. Virdachalam (Cuddalore District) 27mm, Kumbakonam (Thanjavur dist) 19mm. Today too isolated spell expected around north coastal from pondicherry to Ramanathapuram and delta region.

Slight increase in temperature over south Tamilnadu

Interior North Tamilnadu vellore Thiruthani will be seeing 40℃+. while south interior tamilnadu places like Trichy, Madurai could be seeing bit high temperature then yesterday. Overall interior max temperature 37-42℃. Coimbatore, Tiruppur max 38-39℃.

Chennai and coastal Tamilnadu sees temperature under control with help of sea breeze. Max temperature 34-37℃. Chennai Suburbs / Airport 36-38℃ max.

Rain/Thunderstorms: Evening to night places S, SW interior Tamilnadu, in an around madurai, Trichy, kanyakumari, tirunelveli, Nigiris parts of westernghats region will see rains .coastal Tamilnadu will remain dry .
