சென்னை பெரு நகர குடிநீர் தட்டுப்பாடும் தென் மேற்கு பருவ மழையும்

சென்னையின் முக்கிய நீர் ஆதாரங்கள் [1] செம்பரம்பாக்கம் (கிருஷ்ணா நீர் )[2] பூண்டி [3] வீராணம் ஆகும். இங்கு சென்னையின் அன்றாட குடி நீர் தேவைக்கு குறைவாகவே நீர் உள்ளது. இவ்வகை நீர் நிலைகளின் நீர் பிடிப்பு பகுதி / அல்லது நீராதாரம் தென் மேற்கு பருவ மழையை நம்பியே  உள்ளது. அதுவும் மழை (1) கிருஷ்ணா நதி நீர்பிடிப்பு பகுதிகளில் - அதுவும் கிருஷ்ணா நதியின் தலை மடை பகுதியில் பெய்யும் மழை சென்னை குடி நீருக்கு ஆதாரம். இது பலருக்கு தெரியாது. இந்தியாவின் மேலை கரையில், கர்நாடக மாநிலத்தில், மழை [குடகு மலை பகுதிகளில் - இது காவேரி நீர் பிடிப்பு பகுதிகளான குடகின் {1} பாகமண்டலா {2} தலைக்காவேரி போன்றவை ] பற்றாகுறையாய் உள்ளது.  கடந்த 34 வருட வரலாற்றில் குடகு பகுதியில் ஜூலை மாதத்தில் இவ்வாறு மழை பற்றாக்குறை எற்பட்டது இல்லை.  இதன் தாக்கம் தமிழ்நாட்டில் முதலில் தெரியும்.  நாம் தமிழக மழையை கண்காணிப்பதை விட, கர்நாடகாவின் குடகு பகுதி மழையையும், கிருஷ்ணா தலை மடை பகுதி அமைந்து உள்ள மகாராஷ்ட்ராவில் நாசிக் போன்ற பகுதிகளின் மழையை கண்காணிக்க வேண்டும்.

இன்றய நிலையில் இந்திய பெருங்கடலின் பேரழுத்த காற்று மண்டலம் 1040 ஹெக்டா பாஸ்கல் என்ற அளவில் உள்ளது.  இது நல்ல மழையை மேலை கரையின் தென் கரையோரமும் அதை தாண்டியும் மழை தரும்

Moderate rain in Chennai

Late evening (17.07.15) witnessed moderate rain [fairly wide spread withing Chennai and western / (southern) suburb .

Indian ocean High pressure with 1036hPa is slightly SW of Indian sub continent. 


This may play a vital role in SWM rainfall in India.

Engulfing clouds

At last a silver lining is seen.  SWM perhaps may bring good rainfall in down south and west coast. 
Similarly SWM will be active to vigorous over CAP and Odisha coast in the East.
