Monsoon again!...ha ha
First take a look at the latest satellite pic....

Going by the pic there is nothing visual.
From yesterday(3-Jan-08) night 9:30Pm onwards it's raining , raining again and again with cloudy intervals.
Today(4-Jan-08) morning, afternoon and then in evening...
It's exactly like North-east monsoon. Showers coming from North-east and sometimes from east too.
This kind of activity during January is very unusual.
I dont think this activity will prevail... for long, may be upto morning of 5-Jan-08.

Cold winter afternoon

We are back for blogging!
Today morning it was cold as usual, 21.0°C @ 6:31am.
Around 10 AM it was sunny and suddenly it became cloudy and temperature started falling, now it's 27.3°C @ 3:07PM and it's falling at the rate of -0.16°C/hr.
Moreover the humidity during the past 5 days is also low.
Chennai might receive some drizzles during the coming weekend, so expect an cold, windy and slightly wet weekend.

Misty morning

Chennai woke up to a misty/foggy morning.
This is not unusual though... foggy conditions prevailed till 8:30 and slowly moved away to a clear sky.
By afternoon the temperature was 30.6°C @ 12:04pm
and by evening the temperature was dropping at .63°C per hour, now (10:27PM) the temperature is 22.9°C.
Going thru the satellite IR, we can see the remnance of "94B" is near the Saudi Arabia peninsula.
There was some rain around over the south extreme of TamilNadu.
As a whole the cloud formation has began to disintegrate, so ... we can say that's it to North-East monsoon.
