Chennai - 6:15pm, strong westerly winds in upper level persists. Good cloud formations seen. A fast moving sharp shower possible before 11pm

For the 6th day Mahabaleshwar being thrashed by heavy rains. 244 mm in 24 hrs and over 900 mm in last 6 days. It is a disaster situation now
