Breaking: IPCC Climate Scientist's peer reviewed paper invalidates IPCC 2007 report

If Rajendra Pachauri, Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) thought his troubles are over, think again.  Now one of his reviewers in a peer reviewed paper produced results that invalidate the main conclusions of the IPCC 2007 report called the AR4.
Previous research showing humans are responsible for emissions of CO2 is wrong. Increasing CO2 is not ‘driving the climate bus’ but is very much in the back seat to temperature. Natural processes alter isotopic ratios similar to expected from burning fossil fuels.

Record snowfall in HP revives 2,000 glaciers

MANALI: Record snowfall in Himachal this year has revived more than 2,000 glaciers.

Almora's G B Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development's senior scientist J C Kuniyal said apart from reviving the glaciers , this year's record snowfall would also boost the crop cycle. "It is difficult to understand the environment. As we start talking about the dry winters, record snowfall leaves stunned everyone," he said.

He cautioned that unequal snowfall remains a matter of concern. But Lahaul-Spiti has received more than 175-cm snow in first 16 days of February, breaking the earlier record of 148-cm for the month in 1998.

Wonder why a senior climatologist should admit being stunned by record snowfall this year?  This blog has been regularly warning of such a prospect linked with a strong La NiƱa from July last year!

Breaking: Indian Environment Ministry formally challenges Human induced Global Warming

Jairam Ramesh, India's dynamic Environment Minister has done it again. A paper published by his ministry termed UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)'s claim on human induced global warming, as highly exaggerated as the latter's impact is significantly reduced by Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs) that is responsible for low cloud formation over earth in the last 150 years.

The paper's lead author was U R Rao, former chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and was released by Jairam Ramesh himself. Analyzing the data between 1960 and 2005, Rao found that lesser GCRs were reaching the earth due to increase in solar magnetic field and thereby leading to increase in global warming. Says the paper:
“We conclude that the contribution to climate change due to the change in galactic cosmic ray intensity is quite significant and needs to be factored into the prediction of global warming and its effect on sea level raise and weather prediction.”
The real blow to the global warmist movement is when Jairam Ramesh defended climate scepticism and cautioned against foreign funded agendas of environmental organizations and NGOs like WWF, Greenpeace, Oxfam, Christian Aid, ActionAid  in the name of Climate Justice activism etc :
“There is a groupthink in climate science today. Anyone who raises alternative climate theories is immediately branded as a climate atheist in an atmosphere of climate evangelists,” he said. “Climate science is incredibly more complex than [developed countries] negotiators make it out to be… Climate science should not be driven by the West. We should not always be dependent on outside reports.”

COP 16 Cancun Climate Meet: What a difference a year can make!

Last year at COP 15, UNFCCC meet in Copenhagen, the mood of climate activists at were not only upbeat but belligerent. The campaign for a successor treaty to the Kyoto protocol began as much as six months in advance. Spurred on with funds and encouragement from sponsors, climate activists in thousands booked all jumbo jets and hotels to attend the event so much so that air-fares sky-rocketed and hotels booked to their brim. The world media joined the chorus and delivered a massive coverage.

A series of meetings in Germany, Korea and China to the run-up of Cancun proved inconclusive. The UNFCCC is under severe pressure to jump start the treaty process in Mexico, however, public doubts about climate science and policy coupled with an inability of developed and developing nations to find common ground leave the UNFCCC with a daunting task ahead.

Accordingly, the mood of climate alarmists going into Cancun is visibly downbeat. The world suffers from apocalyptic fatigue and scepticism so much even they know too well their usual doomsday soothsaying are now met with derisive laughter. With public support cultivated over the last decade or so has largely evaporated, the lack of confidence reflects itself in the run-up to Cancun. So unlike Copenhagen, this time it had been a rather quiet and more sombre affair.

Climate Scam: NGO credibility hit a new low. The shame much worse than their Rwandan Genocide culpability

NGOs have moved from back stage to centre stage in world politics, and are exerting their power and influence in every aspect of international relations and policy making. They have in most part, been a positive force in domestic and international affairs. However, in recent times, various global Climate Justice Networks have popped up. These are platforms mainly constituted and controlled by Northern NGOs.

We as member of the NGO fraternity or general public seldom research their record of accomplishment; or ask awkward questions on northern NGOs policies; or chase facts behind their claims and publicity spin. One of the most basic questions as we dig deeper is what kind of credentials do these northern NGOs possess to champion justice issues. Simply put - are they committed to principles of justice as portrayed in their carefully cultivated public image?

If we go back to history, what we find is that they have a chequered past in terms of justice credentials. Rwandan Genocide until now had been regarded as the worst shame of NGO behaviour. This was genocide where an estimated 800,000 were massacred. The nineties saw NGOs soul-searching on such behaviour even as today NGO workers remain mentally scarred of experiences such as Rwanda. Apparently lessons have not been learnt as we find that through their climate advocacy they have not only repeating the mistakes of the past but the shame hit a new low.

10 tell tale signs that the global warming is a dying hoax.

Global warming hysteria, whose gravy train INGOs and environmental organizations jumped into for the last decade or so, has run its course. Climate alarmism is dying a slow and painful death. Here are some telltale signs that it is in its deathbed, grasping for its last breath:

1. Re-branding exercises

We live in this age of advertisement where if something isn't working, the first remedy is often to change the offending name. Repeated attempts to re-brand global warming are one of these. Global warming first metamorphosed as “climate change”. This worked for some years but such was the gross misuse and abuse of the term that the public soon developed allergic to this term too and thus the desperate search for an alternative term in the last few months. Some alternatives recently floated are “climate weirdness” and “climate disruption “, the last coined by President Obama’s Science Czar John Holdren.

Salute this man! Pachauri did what no climate sceptic is able to do. A Trojan Horse that destroyed the IPCC from the inside.

If Pachauri did not exist, we climate sceptics would have had to literally invent him. He is in fact every sceptic’s dream. How could we have asked for more when he embodies the UN Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in all completeness?

Next month 194 governments of the IPCC are scheduled to meet in Busan, South Korea. This is where a plot to ouster Pachuari could be unleashed. Pachuari remains defiant: “At the moment, my mandate is very clear. I have to complete the fifth assessment” The Indian Government who Pachuari is their candidate is equally defiant, backing him to the hilt. If Pachauri goes, we leave the IPCC! And if India leaves the IPCC, it can trigger an exodus.

We launch our “Save Pachauri Campaign”.  This is the least we can do for a Patriot of our country. He accomplished what climate sceptics were unable to do by functioning as our Trojan horse that effectively destroyed the IPCC from the inside. Write your support to Pachauri/TERI directly or pressurise WWF to executive an Adopt a Pachauri Programme as envisaged by sceptics.
