The Bay depression becoming DD

The depression lay centered some 1500 km EAST of Puducherry in Bay at Anadaman Sea [NEAR EAST-SE of Long Island)  is now Deep Depression and moving in  west -NWly direction to cross Long Island.  Then after crossing it will lay centred in Bay and expected to move in West-NWly direction.  The moist SWly in lower latitude are its feeder and more rain bearing clouds will be in SWly quadrant. 

For 24hrs, the low-level wind discontinuity is expected to persist from N-W Maharastra to N,central Karnataka to S-central Tamilnadu.

Thunderstorm in Badlapur (07 Oct 2014).

Heavy Rain with huge lightning, thundering & strong gusty winds lashed Badlapur between 5.20pm to 6.20pm today. Rain rate was very heavy for 15 mins as visibility drop to 500mtrs. 

25 mms recorded in 15mins. And total 40mm rainfall in 1hr spell.

During the past 24hrs, the system has drifted West and has intensified into a "Almost Depression"
Latest position of 99B is 10.8 N , 95.9 E.
Pressure around 1000 mb.

Wind analysis suggest a good center is taking shape.
