Cherrapunji gets 1280 mm rainfall in 4 days
Cherrapunji continues to be battered by some exceptionally heavy rains

Other Heavyweights such as Maysnwarm 21 cm, Passighat 6cm and North Lakhimpur 4 cm also got moderate rains. An extended forecast valid until Friday said that scattered rain or thundershowers would continue to occur over the Northeastern States and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
