After the present W.D, No strong W.D expected to reach N,N-W India till 7-Jan.
North India COLD wave to become severe and persist till 7/8-Jan .
Circulation persists over S.Bay along 5th parallel ...

This circulation is expected to slowly drift West and enter into Camorin sea and vanish around 8 / 9-Jan..

But NOGAPS suggests, the circulation to become as a Depression and move into Seas south of Kanyakumari on 8-Jan..

Due to the strong circulation over S.Bay along 5th parallel, the easterlies showers may not reach S,S-E Tamilnadu till 5/6-Jan.
