1. From 850hPa level plot {12 Z 21 Sept 2012}it may be presumed that in peninsular India the temperature is 20 Deg Celsius.  
2. The height is varying between 1470m in the northern side to 1500m towards southern site.
3. Keep this in mind and view the cloud imagery.

Wyoming Weather Web is publishing upper air profile details for various regions of the globe.  The 850 hPa plot for Indian Ocean region shows temperature anomaly in Bay of Bengal.  The clouding pattern is also similar to this.
