As somebody pointed out my orientations have slightly shifted from [amateur] meteorologist to climatologist. I presently study meteorological evident in Tamil annals and from dendrochronology (tree ring analysis). My face book friend who is interested in finding genetically modifying [ சீமை கருவேலம் = Prosopis juliflora ] trees also says that tree rings indicates climatology. interesting.
** Winds are pumped from NWly direction and Tamambaram and south of Tambaram suburb and upto Cudallore will be getting rainfall ranging to 10-99mm.
*** This is so unique when the monsoon trough is near foot hills of Himalayas.
***** AS usual SWM 2015 the east coast and especially NE received good rainfall. Chirrapunji, and other wettest place in the east, the (current) rainfall is an indicator of active SWM
I am searching this sort of identical climatology in the past. When more SWM rains are reported in Easter India there were historical evidence of
elephant migration from west to east.
I hope you know the difference between WEATHER and CLIMATE.
