Now only
the winds at Kenya and Tanzania are getting SOUTHERLY with speed ranging from
40kmph. But these winds after crossing equator becomes weak westerly and forms
Low pressure area over AS. This can be
considered as “Monsoon depression” [weak] and its movement will be north to
NWly direction in AS. Thus the westerly
will be dragged away from west coast and SWM progress will be halted temporarily, but coastal stations in Karnataka will be
getting rainfall. Whereas the LOPAR in
Bay will also move in North –NWly direction to give rainfall in [north] CAP
& South coastal Odisha. Very very
isolated rainfalls in western regions of TN are like pre monsoonal rains. Again the POWER HOUSE is to be watched for
predicting rainfall / or progress of SWM further in India.
