There were atleast 3-4 such cylones in the past few years which didn't bring rain (or negligble rain 1 - 10 cm for the status of a cyclone). The process of Cyclone formation, Zig-Zag movements, landing, dissipation consumes almost 10 days. Just a low pressure trough would bring atleast thrice the amount of rain for the given period.
There must be a reason why the systems emerging from Bay of Bengal doesn't carry enough rain off late. Hope this is studied by the Meteorological Dept.
