RT @shri611: Massive winds in #Bangalore, cloudy skies but no rains. Wonder what would happen to the already worsening water situation

#chennai - had a mild day with High cloud cover & max. temp. of 34.5°C, NO sea breeze today so NO evening cloud formation seen.

    Bangalore has always witnessed decreasing rain last 5years. Many instances it does not even rain 500mm in entire year. Reasons are quite obvious. (a)Massive tree cutting by BDA, BBMP, BMRCL and no efforts taken for tree plantations/transplantation (b)Mind-boggling increase in vehicles (highest in country)-no road widening ever works - lead to only tree cutting (c)Complete destroyal of lakes - building high raise apartments over dry lakes - whole concrete mess has changed weather pattern - irreversible damage to environment -same applies to karnataka deforestation and mining.
