when will thane make landfall ???
ReplyDeleteIt should not happen like 2010 cyclone "Jal". It did not produce any rain - only drizzle. TN and AP requires good amount of torrential rains to balance current drought.
ReplyDeleteBy the way it has rained only 5mm!!! Forcast says 250mm - 300mm??

SSET,
ReplyDeleteIt's almost a repeat of Cyclone JAL for Chennai.
From 8:30am today city has recorded only 2.4cm till 9:09pm.
total waste cyclone. What was expected was good rain for TN and AP. Something wrong with climate pattern over south India. As I mentioned in earlier blog Indian weather man in collaboration with US should study this change. North west, central India is becoming more wet - like Maharashtra,Gujarat, Rajisthan but South India is in path for droughts and desertification.
