  1. Thanks Pradeep - good statistics on wettest citites.

    some more pointers.

    1. Mumbai always tends to cross an annual rain of 3500mm, hence no longer falls in 2500mm space.

    2. Navi Mumbai - New Bombay is the greenest, largest, planned city of the world. City perhaps could be having around 5 - 10 crores of trees, surrounded by hills [western ghats], lakes, dams, huge gardens, creeks. All this in the wettest place.

  2. We wish other cities like Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai, Amdabad, Noida copy/emulate/learn from New Bombay. Much of Navi Mumbai master plan was done by CIDCO - City Industrial Development Cooperation. We are amazed by this.

@sset-I dont think mumbai crosses 3500 mm regularly. It crossed 3000 mm last year and most likely will happen this year as well. But otherwise it has happened twice or thrice only.

Yes but Thane,Navi mumbai and some places even within mumbai might have crossed 3000mm regularly, but i dont think that can be considered.
