We had cyclone "Aliya" during start of 2009 southwest monsoon. We all expected this to strike TamilNadu, but unfortunately went to West Bengal. Hope this low pressure 96B strikes Tamil nadu, so that water problems will ease! Probably we should expect atleast an average of 1000mm rain. But there are news about this getting pulled away from south east indian coast (tamilnadu) which is disturbing. What impact will westerlies create?
