Looks like the North East monsoon is going to be delayed this year. The monsoon is yet to withdraw from many parts of North India and there is already another low pressure brewing in the north west bay of bengal.
From past history, early rains in October during the North east monsoon gives bountiful monsoon. Given that we have a very short monsoon season and of which it rains for only about 20 days , a late NE monsoon is gonna cause defecit rainfall
