28 die as Monsoon drives into Karachi

According to the MET Office, over 100 mm of rain has been recorded in Karachi while around 90 per cent of the area remains without electricity for more than thirty hours. The heavy rain and gusty winds wrought havoc on Karachi's infrastructure. Over 150 people were injured and the death toll from rain-related accidents in different areas of the city has risen to 28.
