FNMOC GFS and BBC forecast

FNMOC GFS and BBC forecast is forecasting the same landfall area.

  1. Going by the latest sat at 10 30 ist ther r som signs of limited regeneration and westward movement i dont think it ll intensify further may cross near pamban as a depression or low pressure no way a cyclone at this point lets keep tracking some cloud formation in chennai as of now

    With steady cool winds from North.
    It may change in another 12 hrs time. Keep tracking.

  4. It's moving in a west ward direction and almost stable now. Again the cloud mass is bigger now. Still BBC is forecasting something else.

  5. S seems strange moving in west north west to me it may brush srilanka and deflect towards tn coast tat might be the only reason according to bbc and imd weather charts

  6. Latest sat 17hrs shows weakening again as more connective clouds develop to its north so expected movement is north west if it regenerates

  10. Metoffice (UKM Model) from where BBC gets its data shows the path of BBC where it shows path of 07B towards south of chennai

  11. UKM model has now changed its forecast to that of IMD and JTWC
    still BBC is forecasting heavy rain from monday to Chennai

    may be they will also change their forecast
