Going by the latest sat at 10 30 ist ther r som signs of limited regeneration and westward movement i dont think it ll intensify further may cross near pamban as a depression or low pressure no way a cyclone at this point lets keep tracking some cloud formation in chennai as of now
S seems strange moving in west north west to me it may brush srilanka and deflect towards tn coast tat might be the only reason according to bbc and imd weather charts

It will weaken into a low pressure and westward movement means no rain for Chennai city
ReplyDeleteIt's moving in a west ward direction and almost stable now. Again the cloud mass is bigger now. Still BBC is forecasting something else.

ReplyDeleteLatest sat 17hrs shows weakening again as more connective clouds develop to its north so expected movement is north west if it regenerates

UKM model has now changed its forecast to that of IMD and JTWC
