Coastal TS in TN - a prior indication for withdrwal

[1] The traditional sign of withdrawal (prior signs !!!) of SWM in TN coast is evident from the TS developing near Coramandal coast.

[2] The Sun has just entered southern hemisphere and started diffusing high pressure cells there.

[3]  Thus the weakened flow  will lead to a formation of LOW in Bay. However the alternate strengthening and weakening of STH in SIO will thrust its SWly influence now and then in west coast starting from Kanyakumari to   Mumbai.

Reversal of wind expected soon

The line of wind discontinuity is evident aloft at 1.5km. The cloud patch approaching towards Chennai and adjoining region now (260915 / 0630 hrs IST) is from NW and is expected to give severe wind associated rain.

[1] The reversal process from SW to NE will be fast.

[2] Still the NLM of SWM is at Hissar level only.

[3] Sometime the reversal will be rapid and simultaneous onset of NEM will commence.

[4] Usually NO North East monsoon (early) forecast will be issued by Government.

[5] However as this SWM witnessed wind [SW] concentration at 1.5km and above one can expect more UAC (sometimes as terrific as "THANE").
