Hi Pradeep - some mistake.
ReplyDeleteBangalore as of now has received only 350mm of rain since 01 june 2011, same goes with Chennai.
It is Bangalore annual rain which is 800mm (80cm) - provided it rains???? - which most often it does not and ends up with drought. Same case with Mysore.
Bangalore Normal rainfall is 97cm and not 80cm .....and this year bangalore got very heavy rianfall in pre-monsoon...It got around 45cm from pre-monsoon..Thats why bangalore is at 85cm!...and bangalore usually gets 20cm from pre-monsoon...it has got one such graceful weather where it gets uniform rainfall for 9months of the year...from March-November!!
ReplyDeleteSSET,
ReplyDeleteThe data i have published is year total, not the seasonal total from June 1
OK Pradeep we take your point it is since 01-jan-2011.
ReplyDeleteBut regarding graceful weather - myself will never agree.- stayed in Bangalore for 5years - city has no concern for environment. Few existing trees are fallen by BBMP,BDA,BMRCL, fragile lakes are drained for property and money. That was very reason settled in Navi Mumbai - natures paradise. (even though myself belong to Andhra).
hey pradeep...ur post is gr8,,,please post recent data of rainfall 4 top 25 indian cites till date.....,,,n yeah chennai abt 2 start ,,n vil leave kolkata behind..!!!!
